Leading North West law firm, SAS Daniels LLP has further strengthened its Private Client team and extended its service offering to help its clients access funding for adult social care and also help them plan for funding their care with the appointment of new Associate Solicitor, Kerry Blackhurst.
Blackhurst who will work across all four of SAS Daniel’s Cheshire offices joins from Linder Myers Solicitors where she was an Associate in the Health and Social Care team. She brings new expertise to the firm, specialising in the legalities relating to the provision of funding for adult social care or healthcare, and helping elderly clients access funding to support care in their own home or in a residential or nursing home.
Blackhurst said: “Cheshire has the highest ageing population in the North West and there are likely to be many elderly local residents who just don’t know where to turn for support when they fall ill or become unable to adequately care for themselves any longer.
“Elderly people can very quickly find themselves in need of support from social services, but getting access to care when they need it most can be incredibly frustrating for both the person in need of care and their families. I can help families navigate our complex adult social care system and enable them to access the support they are entitled to.
“I bring a wealth of experience in this field to SAS Daniels and I look forward to helping many more people in Cheshire and surrounding areas access the right support for their needs. SAS Daniels is no ordinary law firm and I am delighted to join a firm that is committed to achieving the best outcomes for its clients.”
Justine Clowes Partner and Head of the Private Client team at SAS Daniels said: “Kerry is a very welcome addition to our team and her specialism will help us expand our offering across Cheshire. As part of our ongoing strategy to grow organically, Kerry’s area of expertise is a great addition to our already considerable service offering for the elderly.”
SAS Daniels’ Private Client team operates throughout Cheshire and its specialist expertise includes wills, trusts, estate planning, Lasting Power of Attorney and a range of services relating to elderly care.
