Beyond Corporate, part of Beyond Professional Services Group, has advised the McGoff Group on the corporate and development finance of an innovative new community village scheme in Broadheath, Greater Manchester.
The law firm recently concluded the transaction, which secured £3million of development funding for the project, which is located on the corner of Turnbull Road and Sinderland Road.
Designed by the McGoff Group and with construction now underway, the prestigious scheme includes a family-friendly restaurant by Greene King, a new day nursery and a new Community Hall for the Broadheath Community Association.
Associate Director at Beyond Corporate, Nina Latham, supported by Matthew Ko, was the lead lawyer on the deal. She comments: “This was a complex transaction involving several different parties and a relatively complex equity funding structure. I am delighted that the team and I were able to advise the McGoff Group on what is a significant project for the local community.”
Chris McGoff, Director at the McGoff Group, says: “We have been working on the community village scheme for approximately five years and it has taken time to fit all the jigsaw pieces together and get to this stage. I have no doubt that the project will be of a huge benefit to the local residents in Broadheath and we are pleased that construction has started. It has been a pleasure working with Nina and her team at Beyond Corporate.”
Matt Fleetwood of Beyond adds: “Being retained by the McGoff Group as its advisors has been a coup for us, and I am very proud Nina and the team here for delivering the project in the manner that they have done. The McGoff Group is developing a great business model and both the business and the people behind it are a pleasure to work with.
“This transaction has been a lengthy procedure, but the result is excellent, and I’d like to congratulate the McGoff brothers on this achievement.”
