Manchester-based digital growth agency Luminate Digital has released an updated guide on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to help businesses with information on how they can become compliant and avoid hefty fines.
The HubSpot Partner Agency has created the new online GDPR toolkit for all businesses due to significant demand from customers and contacts who wanted information on how GDPR will affect their marketing post 25th May 2018.
Lee Lummis, CEO at Luminate Digital, said: “We wanted to offer impartial source of information on GDPR as we are finding a serious lack of awareness in some sectors about the law and how it will impact companies, especially their marketing.
“With our GDPR toolkit and blog series, we’re hoping to inform businesses everywhere, big and small, with exactly what they need to know and how to implement these changes effectively.”
Businesses who hold the data of EU citizens and fall foul of the new law risk fines of up to €20 million or 4% of global annual turnover.
Despite this, there is still uncertainty among businesses about how exactly to become compliant.
In response to this, the team at Luminate Digital have compiled a collection of guidance-focused resources on GDPR to help both their clients and all UK businesses gain a deeper understanding of the impactful matter.
"We wanted to offer an impartial source of information on GDPR as we are finding a serious lack of awareness in some sectors about the law and how it will impact companies, especially their marketing."
